The lab is live
NeuroLabs opens its doors today — although "opens" is a strange word for a lab whose work has been running for a while. As of this morning, neurolabs.ca is the front door for five live builds:
- ScamCallCheck — community-powered reverse lookup for scam calls and texts, backed by 280,000+ FTC and FCC complaint records.
- TheCareer — career tools for job seekers tired of applying into the void, starting with a free ATS resume scanner.
- CalcNow — 30+ fast, free calculators for math, money, and health. No signup, no clutter.
- LenderReady — financing readiness for Canadian businesses, built by a former commercial banker.
- Down East Music — live-music photography from Prince Edward Island's festival summer.
Why a lab
Most useful software is small. A number you can look up before answering the phone. A calculator that just works. A resume scanner that tells you the truth. None of it needs a growth team or a funding round — it needs to be built well and kept running.
That's the whole model. We find everyday problems, build focused tools that solve them, and keep running them long after launch. Everything linked above is live and maintained — nothing is a concept or a mockup. And because the whole system is proven in public, we bring it to client builds too: if you want a site or product built the way these were, talk to us.
What's next
Two things are in active development: SubTrack, a subscription tracker that finds recurring charges through your bank and walks you through actually cancelling them, and Boreal, an automated SEO content engine built specifically for the Canadian market — Canadian SERPs, Canadian tax context, English and Quebec French.
